Origins of Swoop
Warm Utah sunshine cascaded between sparse white clouds, bringing light to the bustling Salt Lake Valley. It reached wherever it could, stretching into the quiet foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. One single radiant beam caressed a brown speckled egg cradled against ancient rock and aromatic sagebrush. How it got there was a mystery. Perhaps high winds blew it from a comfortable nest, or maybe runoff from rain carried it to its new home. Whatever happened, the relocation provided an environment for the egg to thrive, for soon the durable shell cracked, then chipped as a hooked beak poked its way out.
